Meet Tanisha Clark, MEd, PhD
Clinician. Consultant. Advocate.
Hi, I’m Tanisha.
I’ve spent my career at the intersection of two worlds that don’t always talk to each other: deep clinical expertise and high-stakes organizational leadership. My work today is really a reflection of those two parallel passions—providing neuro-affirming care for families and building more equitable systems for organizations. My journey started in the heart of education and non-profits. Before I was "Dr. Clark," I was a Teach For America teacher, a Director at an international non-profit, and a Principal in a large urban school district.
I know what it’s like to lead through "overwhelm" because I’ve been there for over a decade. Those years taught me that whether you are running a school or a household, you need more than just theory—you need practical tools that actually work when things get complicated.
That’s why I pursued my doctorate at UT Southwestern and a fellowship at Stanford. I wanted to bring the "gold standard" of evidence-based care back to the communities I served. In my practice now, I focus on supporting children and young adults (ages 5–25) navigating Autism and Anxiety. My approach is warm, a little bit humorous, and deeply affirming. I’m not here to "fix" anyone; I’m here to help you and your family feel confident, heard, and supported.
When I’m not in a therapy session, I’m partnering with school districts and juvenile justice departments to rethink how they serve their communities. As a researcher and former Assistant Professor at Emory, I’ve spent years studying race and inequality. I use that background to help professionals move beyond compliance and toward true equity.
Whether we are working together on your child’s care or your organization’s strategy, my goal is the same: to help you find a sustainable path to success while giving yourself a little more grace for being human along the way.
